I agree with the previous critique, regarding the white balance being just a tad on the blue side. A scene like this should be somewhat bluish, due to the cloud cover, but the highlights in the clouds themselves should be white. I also agree that it would be nice if the tops of the trees were included, but I don't think it's a critical flaw. I don't agree with the folks who feel something is lacking, such as a foreground element.

People often feel that something is missing in images like this that deliberately don't have focal points. It's human nature to want our eyes to settle on the most important aspect of any scene. But a scene like this is intended to let, maybe force, the eye to wander throughout the frame, taking in the small details rather than focusing on one large element. I happen to like this sort of scene, but it's a matter of taste.

What I do feel the image lacks is depth of tone. That's probably the result of the HDR and tone mapping, but there are almost no true blacks and very few dark tones. The mid-tones also lack contrast, and the colors need more saturation. In real life, the eye can often be overwhelmed with glare in situations like this, but the truth is that colors are MORE saturated in conditions like this. That's missing from this version of the image. But, I think it could easily be punched up, and that no one would think anything is missing, then.
